Ted, the ad was more of a surprise to me than a strange thing.

It takes me back to the infamous Charles Barkley ad, when he said, "I am not a role model." That caused quite a controversy.

The Mrs. Jones ads were also done by Nike, and they were more preachy than anything. (This was well before Marion Jones was busted for doping, of course.)

Nike has a long history of producing social ads. The Tiger ad was rather daring, in my mind. Character counts. (That and wearing Nike apparel.)
