Unless your living in a cave you have to be aware of the Tea Party events going on around this country. Tea partiers...mostly emotional people driven to unhinged-ness by a predisposition to hysteria and clever agitators. The nation faces serious economic problems and needs serious leaders who will respond in careful and pragmatic ways....not through tea party crazy talk. You seem awfully comfortable justifying this drive to bankruptcy with ... "well its the fault of GW and all those terrible conservatives" BS. I am not at all comfortable with bankruptcy...are you comfortable with how close we came to financial and economic Armageddon? Is the view really that good from the cheap seats sdgla? Secondly... your data is BS... unless you believe the numbers put out by China and Russia on their defense spending. The figures are well known and not far off. The US spends 8 times the nearest higher country and in the order of 42%+ of the total world military budget. That includes the combined budgets of all of our allies. What the hell do we need all of that for? Do you live your life on the basis of conjecture, distrust and paranoia? We can blow the entire world to kingdom come for goodness sake. Al
