Specialist groups getting into the "concierge" medicine game... That's a new one. Not sure how this may work in practical terms. Pay the annual fee, or no cardiologist will come and help you through your heart attack?

Will be interesting to see what Medicare will eventually do. So far, they've been more or less ignoring the phenomenon... but at some point they'll need to make a policy decision. My guess - they'll end up legitimizing it in some form, as if it were another deductible, "optional" between doctors and patients.
