Sure such a gaff can easily happen, a presidential candidate (which he was at the time) is going to be watched all the time. He makes a mistake, and while its funny for his opponents its not really as big of deal as some would make it out to be.

Its even less significant when you have a group of at least many thousands of people, perhaps millions depending on how you define it, and someone makes a stupid mistake on a sign. Assuming that pic isn't photo-shopped - One individual, or no prominence, out of a group of many makes a stupid mistake. Big deal...


Its one thing to make an error when you are talking extemporaneously and its quite another when you are making a sign. Misspellings are quite common among teabaggers.
