The impression I get from Israeli papers and bloggers is that Israelis weren't upset with Bibi for being a 'hardliner'. They know there is no chance of diplomatic progress with the Palestinians right now so the whole so-called 'peace process' is kabuki theatre for somebody else's benefit at best.

They were upset at thought the Bibi was mishandling the vital Israeli/US relationship. Some Kadima pols tried to score points on the issue. But this seems to be dying down as Obama makes his pro-Palestinian POV clear. You can sort of hear a collective hunkering down among the Israelis. Over Passover I even saw the phrase: "We also survived Pharaoh", meaning, we have lived through worse; this too will pass.
