"Straight Medicare (not Advantage plans), covers less services than patients think. For instance, telephone calls or e-mail with doctors, along with regular, routine preventive health exams, are not covered."

Not so....See this link and put your own state in the blank...Telephone calls? I've never been billed for one and almost all calls are made by physicians staff...ditto for e-mails

I plugged in my state although I already knew that phone calls, emails, and routine checkups are not covered in any state. I don't know what you think you're be seeing.

I got a phone call from my doctor on Monday. She was not paid for that. Just because you're not billed doesn't mean that the doctor is paid by insurance.

I've posted before that I make an appointment with my doctor whenever I do blood work or when I need prescription refills so she can make some money off the transaction.

Is that source you have referring to "Original Medicare"..

That's what it said.
