Your in the trenches Al ?

No...therefore I give both republicans and democrats who have responded to the crisis the benefit of the office they were voted into. Unlike you, I don't let my inner rage drive me to pretentious beliefs.

Are you OK with the 50% of the voting population not paying any taxes ?

You run around with lots of misconceptions in your head. First all of these people, but the lowest of the lowest earners, pay payroll taxes on all of their income. I say lowest of the lowest because some of these folks, who barely make enough to scrape by, also receive credits from uncle sam. The key word is scrape by...you'd have them pay even more of their meager earnings in taxes I surmise from your post....I am concerned with the widening income gap between these folks and those with the income tax "problem". Second, these folks pay taxes in their states in many ways. Every time they buy something, state income taxes, property taxes if they have any, and so on.

You should be concerned with the fact that the rich have gotten richer and the poor poorer over the last 25 years. We, the left are concerned with this widening income gap. You, the right, bitch that this increasing wealth comes with a tax price. Therein lies one of the key chasms between the two ideologies.
