There is a limitless supply of wind and sun energy that we could tap into in order to feed our needs.

I don't think we have to sacrifice anything to achieve energy independence. Oil independence is an easy goal to achieve. All the technology exists already and it's affordable.

I think what we're seeing on this thread is an example of folks who need to "question their own assumptions and expand those horizons."
