I'm not saying we are the best I'm saying your data does not support the claim that we are not. I falls to you to either develop an argument that I'm wrong and your data really does show that we aren't the best, or to present more data, or to move on to something else.

On this narrow issue, personally I don't think we are best. In fact I believe the data posted here about Canada (I believe to show that Canada was much better, but when you adjust for population they aren't) show that per capita Canada is slightly better. (Which doesn't answer the per amount and type of hospital treatment question, but that question may be too hard to answer.)

And considering there are a lot of other countries out there, I suspect some other countries are better than us.

But that's a measure of a specific issue not the whole medical care and medical payment systems.

If say the UK is worse than us on this measure, does that fact support an argument that they should change to be just like us (either pre or post Obamacare)? No. Similarly if say Switzerland is better that doesn't support an argument that Switzerland is generally better (although they could be, I'm not arguing either side of that point), or that we should copy their whole system, it just tells us that they are better (if they really are I don't know) on this one measure.
