I agree with you.

I don't always have the foresight to recognize a just war from an unjust one because of all the propaganda, but with my current understanding and politics I can tell you that there have been very few wars I would have fought in.

Also, even though I think my moral compass would have been sharp enough to recognize the intrinsic immorality of slavery all those years ago (even though some brilliant men didn't), I think the civil war was about a lot more than that and I probably would have proudly fought on the side of the south even though I've been a NYer all my life. Then after we kicked the north's ass, I would have been actively anti slavery. ;-)
