Hi Iris, Rick, Bosco & all,
got some FA-reasoning on grafix chip plays...

SIII in free fall: Avoid right now. No entry before December..

STM (SGS-Thomson) looks good. This one should benefit exceptionally from NSM/Cyrix 3rd source plays and also since it is the ONLY maker of the nVIDIA Riva 128 graphics controller. This is the HOT item, first to hit the market, PCI & AGP versions available, ultra-cool performance, all major OEMs are comitted to it: STB, DIAMOND (Viper V330), ASUS, ELSA. The nice thing here, STM is manufacturing this one. Would be my pick right now.. around $75

ATY.TO (ATI Tech in toronto). As I thought when looking at its Rage pro offering, this one looked best in the last 2 months. Any long potition could be held further. stance: HOLD, above $30

MATROX: Sell, product line not appropriate IMO...

NINE (small cap). Good design on their own (ticket 2 ride). Should gain martket share: BUY

3DLABS, (TDDDF): Strong buy. New, hot products are coming out...

Now If I only knew where the 3Dfx and the Verite are listed. Would be solidly long on both makers..

All those stances of mine are just my opinion of course...
regards
CROSSY
