Leo, My IMO is the same as your IMO. So it's that gnawing speculative feeling again until another surprise announcement. I also suspect there's an ominous feeling permeating the hallways of Corel's offices.

I've hit Dr. Cowpland pretty hard the past month and a half, especially this past week, so his anger is understood. JMHO, it was all justified.

I posted the April 1996 Fortune article on the theory of increasing returns to try see if Bean could pick up on the idea the this "theory" is only a phenomenon, and not a LAW. I'll use Kurt's metaphor. Mr. Bean didn't "bite" for that one. I don't believe that Management believes they can do anything about the "Microsoft Effect." My hope is that Management will act on the message (and not just hear), FOCUS ON THE SUITE and pick up some momentum before its too late. But it may already be.

Sounds like Vanni's insight is right. Managment just does not know what to do, and probably does not know what others may do.
