Sorry, didn't read it correctly. Leave the low end as it is now. As for a higher rate being foolish, look back at tax rates during the 20th century. For long stretches they were above that rate. Like after WWII. The economy seemed to do okay.... As I posted to long/short, it's a moot discussion IMO anyway, as we all know taxes are going up. The low end may well get hit with a VAT in coming years anyway.
