With microcaps, small investors can tread where big institutions simply cannot go due to volume and liquidity issues. That's the good news. The bad news is the sharks which wait for the unwary, ready to falsify SEC filings, move the bid/ask numbers seemingly at will, and generally scalp every small fry that wanders across their shooting gallery. But few things are more satisfying than winning at this game because you out-guessed the Street and stuck by your convictions. You don't get that kind of thrill - or return - in mutual funds. Personally my goal is to double my money in twelve months. I'll get whacked a few times on the way, but so far I'm ahead. Keep the courage of your convictions but keep your eyes open at the same time. Victory goes to the quick in this game. I'll be following my TSSW stake with interest.
