This just further proves that the goal of the left is not to prosecute priests guilty of crimes, ensure that the church institutes procedures that continue to dramatically reduce abuse cases (which it has already demonstrable done) or anything else. The goal is to destroy the church by any means necessary including financially.
If I was a loyal believing and practicing Catholic I would probably spend some time reviewing the teachings on self defense to see if the church believes a person or institution is justified in killing opponents as a matter of self defense. From what I recall, that whole self defense/justifiable war issue gets very tricky.
It one thing to be an atheist, homosexual, pro choice advocate, same sex marriage advocate, marriage for priests advocate, female priests advocate etc.. that strongly disagrees with the teachings of the church, tries to point out mistakes, injustices, crimes etc... in an unbiased way in order to do some good as long as you live and let live. It's another thing to attack and try to destroy it.
I mean the Sicilian and US mafia are always available for hire and that's probably a cheaper option that dealing with self interested, corrupt, greedy and evil left wing lawyers. ;-) |
