Ormonde acquires option over copper project 12-04-2010 18:45 livecharts.co.uk Ormonde Mining has acquired an option over the Tharsis copper project in Spain. Tharsis is in Huelva province in Spain just like the La Zarza project, which Ormonde acquired from the same seller. It is in an area where there is a history of mining. There is copper and gold mineralisation in the area. Ormonde believes that it can extend existing deposits at Tharsis and discover new ones. The option lasts for nine months and, if it is taken up, Ormonde can earn 100% of the project by investing €1.86m over three years and paying €1.5m in milestone payments.
