Once the National Institute of Health asked me for 50,000 pounds of yew bark. I laughed them off because although I knew there were a few yew trees in my area they were widely dispersed, small, and did not have that much bark in the first place.

They went elsewhere, and obtained enough to develop the drug Taxol, which is useful in treating breast cancer.

I did not know it was poisonous.

Indians used it to make bows.

Yew is not disingenuous. That's the Democrats.

Yew Berries, foliage Fatal. Foliage more toxic than berries. Death is usually sudden without warning symptoms.
