I believe Obama made it clear he may not even run for a second term. I truly believe that is due to so many states now requiring proof of citizenship. That is something he has spent millions to avoid. There would be no avoiding such a conflict in a run for a second term. There is obviously some problem with it or he wouldn't have spent a nickel to avoid the issue.

I don't know what it is, but calling people "birthers" etc is not a way of making it go away. Just a way of stalling. Certainly no courts want to deal with the confusion that chaos that such a suit would precipitate. However, on the state level he would just be denied entry on the ballot without proof.
