CJ, in your extension of my analogy, you had three things:

1) The manager showed me how to solve the problem.

2) The manager made sure the funding and infrastructure was in place.

3) The manager fought off all attempts to shut me down.

Gore did not do #1 and #3. Nowhere (except for left-wing revisionist sites) ever mentions Gore doing any of that with regard to the Internet or its predecesors.

Back to my analogy, even if my manager did all that, if he or she then went to a higher-up and said "Tenchu's work was actually MY creation," I'd still have a fit.

I bet you would too, unless for some odd reason you worshipped your manager like you worship Gore.
