At $43,348, North Carolina is ranked 27th for average teacher salary across the nation.

-------------------------------------------------

Average key word.

So lets say you are a advance degreed and certified professional in your chosen field? Would you take $43K for salary?

Remember that average includes teachers with 30 years of experience and those just starting out thier 1st year.

So? Based on the State pay scale ncpublicschools.org

That would translate into $43,348 pay equating to a teacher with 18 years of experience. 10 years of experience level if you had National Board Certification. 11 years of experience if you had a Masters level degree.

Would that be acceptable pay for any of you degreed and certified professionals out there??????

I'm going to guess the answer is no.
