<Thats not Dawkins position .... he says any idea of God is evil.>

Could be, although:

1.) I'm not talking about him specifically... I'm talking about "the atheist".
2.) How could ANYONE, including Dawkins, say "any idea of ANYTHING (including God)" be evil? It makes no sense... if someone said that God is "kind and compassionate, and NOT evil"... then how could anyone say that is evil?

I'm sure what Dawkins is talking about is what he perceives to be the "commonly held beliefs" of God taught in religions... OTHERWISE, he'd look like an idiot in a debate.

<Ah, my opinion on someone elses is opinion is hatred... or a feeling. Baloney.>

Poppycock... you misrepresent and restate my very own posts to suit YOUR ideas... CONSTANTLY. I'm telling you STRAIGHT OUT that I'm therefore assuming you do it to others, including Dawkins. FURTHER, I'm telling you I may be wrong.... and you ARE FREE TO SHOW OTHERWISE.

Simple.

<There are loads of links out there ... I posted one already.>

You didn't, unless I missed something... that is NOT by Dawkins and therefore cant possibly show him speaking in a context of hatred. If you can't show that with all the stuff he's written and I'm SURE all the talks he's given... I'll assume that you are doing to him what you do to me.

<I've already posted that he holds that teaching children to be religious is child abuse. How much more do you need.>

That is a belief, that does NOT show belief put forward in a hateful manner. Certainly teaching of ANY TOPIC IMAGINABLE has been done so in an abusive manner, including religion.

I think he's WAY OFF BASE, but the fact that he's wrong doesn't show hate. Pretty basic stuff.

<Its not about a "version" of God. Its any God.>

Anyone talking about ANYTHING has an idea in their head as to what they are talking about. Everyone has a (even if slightly) different idea of God based on their upbringing, experience, etc.

Now, I think the atheist that claims there are no gods of any kind are arguing an untenable position, because NO ONE really knows exactly what/who God might be... you cant deny or falsify what you don't (can't) define. BUT, if some atheist explained to me all about a certain hateful vindictive God that does XYZ based on XYZ... I would AGREE WITH THEM about that version of god. I would of course think they have God all wrong... but then of course that's multiple lifetimes of argument there I suppose... as we see on the evening news if one has TV.

<Calling teaching children about religion child abuse is inherently hateful.>

Oh???? Well, we CERTAINLY disagree on that:
