I rather think we should stop creating new entitlement programs, stop passing trillion dollar spending bills, and adjust the retirement age upward further.

Sounds good to me. All I really ask is that we pay for what we want. If the American people want something big, like trillion dollar wars in the Middle East, two tax cuts, a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, or a Health Care Bill, then by God raise the taxes to do it. Just don't put it on my kids credit card and call it a day.

So in my book, both the GOP and Dems of the last 10 years are at fault. Fiscal sanity has not reigned since the 90's. They pretty much ended with Clinton and Gingrich.
