No, David, I definitely don't believe in god, not in a Christian sense. I'm an athiest. I believe organized religion is actually evil, the cause of strife and violence everywhere. I believe in living the moment we have to the fullest, because it is the only one that exists.Nothing else can be proven, and I don't want to waste my life arguing about it, either. I love to be out in nature, really raking in how beautiful it all is. I'm definitely an environmentalist; saving the planet from ignorance and destruction is about as close as I come to a crusade, and am an advocate for the rights of animals, children, women, third world peoples and the poor everywhere. I am a very nice, gentle, kind, open-minded person, as well. I'm not waiting for any invitations! But the main point here is that this is not the Ask God thread. I specifially came over here to avoid any Christian writing whatsoever because I find it offensive and judgmental. It has invaded my feelings thread as well lately. Since I am reading this whole thread to see what is going on here, out of curiosity, it is impossible to not click on the Christian postings that now litter this thread. Since several people over here, including John Galt and me, have asked all the evangelical Christians to take a hike, I wonder why you don't do that. Are you trying to be offensive, or what? Some people do not want to be saved, but they are perfectly nice people nonetheless, and deserve some space where they can express themselves without being preached at, that's all. |
