With Cardero the downside looks limited because they are trading below liquid assets. They recently sold one of there mines for 100M to China. They still can accept a higher offer if it presents itself they would pay a penalty but if the offer is right bring it on, a bidding war is a good thing. They actually had it sold to China for 200M before the crisis. It is good to see they are starting a relationship with the Chinese. Maybe they can sell them more assets in the future. I did not do crazy research on this company and I do not think you have too they have a lot of assets sitting and waiting to be bought while sitting on more cash than there current marketcap. I would love to own a basket of companies like this. I started a small position of 1000 shares @ 1.35.

Monish, I bought a few names he owned in the past DFC I believe went under or pretty close to it I do not remember. I bought that name because he had a very high % of his fund in it and there was also a nice write up on valueinvestorclub. I lost about 20% on that name. I also bought HNR another company he owned I made about 40% on that name. HNR has the majority of there money earned in Venezuela, but the investment looked good @ the time. I would not invest in it again. All and all I think Monish is no smarter than me and you he is know Buffet that is for sure.

Yea LUK is starting to move since I sold most of my position lol seems like that is happening a lot lately.
