A little story about apple cider vinegar, education and ESPECIALLY about our dear little friend J and his Mom..

We have been taking apple cider vinegar on a regular basis for about 2-3 weeks now, for some health benefits we heard or read about... We take a teaspoon or two in a glass a warm water daily just sipping it like tea.. It was a little hard to take at first but it has an acquired taste. It must have for we had to buy a second bottle just to make sure we didn't run out..

BTW, make sure the "Mother" is in what one buys..

And it seems to work for me from a digestive pov and maybe other things, like metabolism and joint relief, etc... Overall well-being in other words..

But just this morning, we received an e-mail from J thanking us for a birthday card (he just turned nine) and a bunch of Easter candy we sent him and his family..

And you what was in that e-mail?, He mentioned to Mary to make SURE to TAKE Apple Cider vinegar on a regular basis as it helps protect against breast cancer.. He told us as he told his mother to do as well..He learned this on line I guess..:)

So here is a wonderful, giving nine yo, worrying about the women in his life getting breast cancer.. When I was his age I had never heard of it.. We have so mixed emotions about this as he does not have a chance to be an innocent child of nine thinking just about fishing, swimming, climbing trees, etc.. But on the other hand, we are SO glad there are children out there with such compassion and empathy..:)

His Mom calls him, her little Santa Claus as he just wants to give. BTW, he told us, he and his family shared the Easter candy we sent them with a needy family that had none and when we left Sandpoint, he went down to the local coke machine at the resort and bought each Mary and I, soft drinks for our road trip home from an expensive machine.. And that was with his OWN money

So it makes us feel SO good about doing OUR BEST to keep the future going..

And on a final note, these children, all five of these wonderful siblings, living together, with both wonderful parents together in a rural area, not far from where I grew up are HOME SCHOOLED and far surpassed their grade level on the :)Washington state tests and probably NATIONAL levels as the state of Washington is one of leaders in the country in education..

:)
