Microsoft to outsource some support functions to India

Microsoft is outsourcing a good deal of information technlogy work to Bangalore-based Infosys, which will support applications, infrastructure, PCs and take over the help desk, reports Doug Barney of Redmondmag.com.

The out-of-work San Francisco resident who sent me the item gripes: "No wonder I can't get a job in IT support for Microsoft programs and operating systems . . . they're all being outsourced to Bangalore."
