Those conspiracy theories, so tempting to wade in ... IF, and that is a big IF, someone wanted that plane to have an accident, wouldnt you think that someone other than the Russians would like to have done it, so no matter what the Russian inquiry comes up with, they (the Russians) will not be able to assign blame and expect to be believed. Would be the perfect set up. Slider had such a scenario yesterday, based on Poland staying out of the Euro and some other financial stuff... Fog would be hard to make but you could also screw up with the approach ILS signals... Nothing to do with the airplane, dont know if it would show on the black box even.
