I agree with you on that, Neeka. But, I simply don't think that Gingrich will be elected. The media has crucified him, just like they have Palin and her family. The majority of the people in this country don't read much, and don't pay attention to politics. They "know what they know" thank you very much, and "don't you dare to try to change their mind" is the mindset we all face every day.
The Right MUST pick the BEST Candidate that will grab the largest share of the votes. It is too important for our entire Country and all the citizens in it not to chose the best we can find, that CAN and WILL BE elected.
For the very same reason, we MUST have the Right lessen their opposition to anyone who might be Pro Choice, but that doesn't mean they are Pro Abortion. IMO, we will lose if we as a party continue to splinter into hundreds of small, single issue thoughts. We Need a LEADER that will get us past that.
In another way, our choice this time is to either be STRONG in our National Defense, or if we aren't, then I take the position that nothing else will matter. If we are hit by some nuke, or by far worse, a bio weapon of some sort, or an EMP, we can just kiss our economy goodbye for awhile....we, the citizens of the US, will simply be trying to survive for years in the future.
To Newt can help us there, but I too, see it not as President, but a strong and very capable support to the President. We will need him. |
