We attended the Tea Party in Greensboro, NC last night...or as my wife calls it Greensboring.

I was impressed. I would estimate the crowd at 2,000-3,000 filling a square between municipal buildings downtown.

A very patriotic band played for several singers. The speakers were all local civilians each with a heartfelt patriotic message. Free copies of the Constitution were available, free bottled water too. A few local politicians were in the crowd. None spoke. This was about grassroot America not them.

Hundreds carried patriotic signs much like others I've seen on the news. A handful of young students counter demonstrated. One held a sign that read "If you don't like taxes, move to Somalia." As I read that I thought - you can't fix stupid.
The crowd tolerated their presence. Another arrived in a black hooded robe, carrying a sign that read, "White Supremists".
He got into a scuffle at the entrance with those around him and was promptly whisked off by police. Another sign read,
If you don't stand for what we do, feel free to stand in front of us. ~ US Navy SEALS

All in all, I found the event to be a significant, patriotic and positive sign for our country. We will definitely attend another.
