That is my top issue. Everything else is secondary to me.

I haven't been following the issue closely. I find the partisan bickering tedious and depressing. I have been under the impression, though, that pretty much everyone is for energy independence. I think that the D's are smart to reframe global warming as energy independence. Dunno if that gives me any more confidence, though, in their commitment to energy independence, particularly when gas prices go up.
