I'm not sure I followed your comments after "crap" but they don't seem to speak to the level of the national debt. If you think they do, then maybe you could clarify. Of course they do. When the gvt established medicare or SS the presumption was that they would be funded such that there'd be no unfunded debt (liability in this case, since there is no debt just yet). Al
