Because it is double representation. The people who make the corporation are the folks who can vote- the corporation itself does not "think" about its representation- it is merely a legal fiction to shield shareholders of legal responsibility, and do other things to facilitate the business of the people who are, in reality, the corporation. I have no idea why you think they should effectively be able to vote twice- but it makes no sense at all- unless you want a business oligarchy- then I guess it makes sense.
