NPR had a pretty good coverage of the Goldman case yesterday. Quite amazing how they played both sides, creating a losers fund for one major client to short and then selling it off to other clients as a sound investment. Its very typical of GS. They helped run oil up to the $150s and then turned around in August of 2008, and started shorting the hell out of it. They made a fortune. They are by far the most aggressive and most clever investment firm on Wall Street. I will be very surprised if the gov't nails them. They can afford major law firms.
