"Could you please provide a couple of links to support that?" Just look at what happened to Greece. The same company that packaged securities for them, also took out CDS' against them. The whole system is geared around doing deals, the more the better. And the bonus system is totally decoupled from the performance of the deals because they are geared to the trades, not on whether or not they made money. Or were legal, much less ethical.
