We wont go broke as long as traditional values and virtues dominate the consciousness of American people. We will achieve spiritual bankruptcy long before we are economically bankrupt.
When work ethic is over ruled by entitlement, when productivity is abandoned for the good of a party agenda, when equality is confused with having or being the same, when the system is more important than it’s individual members, when the products of your labor are not your own, when it is more desirable to acquire entitlements than to achieve, when going along has more umph than asking good questions and accepting challenges, when the best venue for achieving well being is by getting on the government dole rather than growth and development… etc.
You see where I’m going with this. When the spirit of people who've innovated and developed modern society, leashed electricity, launched to the moon, placed satellites in the heavens, and reached out to the poor and hungry of the world decides to trade creativity, change, growth, and development for a nanny state (tejek’s world), then we are bankrupt. |
