Ted, > And a socialist manifesto is what?

socialist - One who believes in socialism.

Obama has never said he believes in socialism; on the contrary, he has said he firmly believes in capitalism.

socialism - A political and economic philosophy that, among other things, seeks to spread the wealth among all members of society.

Then you're talking about Bush and Reagan. After all, both tried to redistribute wealth to the rich. To offset that imbalance, Obama is trying to get some of that redistributed wealth back to the middle class. He's simply addressing a wrong. That's not socialism

Thanks. I hope you are clearer now about Obama's real intentions and that calling him a socialist is a slippery slope that you all can't hope to win.
