I know you are slow witted but the reason I bolded that section was because of its discussion regarding the separation of church and state........the principle Jefferson strongly supported. That principle counteracts the claim that we are a nation of Christian roots. Comprendez? And if you don't, keep it too yourself and spare yourself any embarrassment. TIA.

Whose talking about Nat. Prayer day?

You

That would be you tejek. I actually never knew there was such a thing until today. When you bold something from an article you bring to the thread it is for only one reason and that is to emphasize the importance of your bolded portion wrt your point in posting the article in the first place.

It was you who posted the article, it was you who bolded these words within the article as evidence that politicians just got crazier, which gives you ownership over that particular message...

"The amusing aspect of this is the notion that the United States would return to its roots with support for National Day of Prayer observances."

I googled it and found the article declaring Obama's support. So, I merely reminded you that Obama supports the same issue. That seats him firmly in the 'crosshairs' of your vicious attack.

"The Obama administration has both tweeted and confirmed in an e-mail to the Associated Press from spokesman Matt Lehrich that Obama still plans to recognize The National Day of Prayer as it did last year."
