Re -- Someone told me a Pentium II -266 with no L2 cache might be as fast as a P-90.

You don't read do you (my previous post). AGP and faster graphics memory, serves the purpose of consumer PC needs.

Re -- NSM going for the $500, $200. and changing the core from a 486 to a PRCrap.

What makes you think they can build these in volume for that cheap a price (especially their claim of increasing MHz, they haven't yet cranked the speed past 166MHz).

The MediaGX, is just a toy. Incompatible with the rest of the world, and nothing but a 486.
