I prefer smarter defense and empowering individuals to take care of themselves.

I hope for the former but the latter ain't likely. Why? Because sh*t happens. The woman across the street is 36. Three years ago, one of her kids gave her the chickenpox. She now has MS. Look up what MS does to you.........you can do all the enabling in the world, it won't make her better. Sorry.
