Fine, let's take care of those who had s--t happen to them.

Not those who were perfectly able to take care of themselves, but chose not to because it's easier to just be on the government dole.

SS and Medicare didn't grow by leaps and bounds because s--t happened more often than before.

At a certain age, everyone is eligible for SS and Medicare. Its called getting old.
