Thanks Ratan, you are correct and make a good point. In fact
I meant to say owning the stock when I wrote << and buying
the underlying issue>>.

Well I am working on a problem and like to gather as much
information as possible from experienced traders. The problem
states -while owning one stock for a long period, how many
option trades may be applied to this stock in order to minimize
losses and obviousely maximize the gains?.

This problem may take me for a while in order to put different
technics and strategies together and at the end it may not
even have a feasible solution for optimal trading. But the fact
remains that a lot to be learned from this.

Ratan you mentioned about naked put writing. I think that is
an excellent suggestion to my problem for initiating to own a
favorit stock.

I have not yet calculated profit & loss for an optimal naked put writing. If you know of any source please let me know.

Finally I am open to anyone's input and sugestions. Behrouz.
