CEON trades on low volume... It needs to cross a trendline in the 3.00 area... From there it could go to the 4.00 to 5.00 area... Then it hits heavy resistance... A break through that area gets it in position to challange the 7.00 to 8.00 area...

The fundamentals are so, so...

There is going to be pricing pressure in the industry...

Cerion sees lower industry pricing in '98

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Oct 16 (Reuters) - Cerion Technologies Inc said Thursday it expects its business to be impacted by
lower industry pricing throughout 1998.

''Challenging industry trends are expected to continue during the remainder of 1997 and into 1998,'' Cerion president and
chief executive officer David Peterson said.

''While we remain committed to increasing our order volume and continuing to seek any avenues to reduce our costs, we
believe that industry pricing will decrease slightly throughout 1998 and will continue to affect our business,'' he said in a news
release.

Earlier Cerion reported a third quarter profit of $0.01 (including a gain), versus a loss of $0.07 a year earlier.

Cerion manufactures aluminum disk substrates, which are the metallic platforms of magnetic thin-film disks used in the hard
drives of desktop computers, network servers, add-on storage devices and storage upgrades.

Its shares were up 11/16 at 3-5/16.
