We'd spend the money either way...before anything is said about the human suffering that goes with the collapse of the company, what's the alternative anyway? Lose the largest manufacturer in the country? Support a couple of million folk on unemployment...all of it at the cusp of the worst economic downturn since the depression? ...

They are, after all, "entitled". No matter that it is stealing from future generations.

How about they go find a job? Or let the union, which destroyed the company in the first place, take care of them? Or, spend some of the massive retirement benefits these assembly line workers get? In fact, they MIGHT even have some savings with salary and benefits like they have.

WHO TAKES CARE OF ME IF *I* END UP OUT OF WORK? Answer: Me.
