Linda McCartney's parents, M/M Eastman were very wealthy and lived in Scarsdale NY. In the early days of jet travel they always travelled on separate flights.

One of the parents went to their death in a mid air collision over Westchester County NY circa 1960.

In 1980 there was a fire at the Stouffers Inn in White Plains, NY. 26 executives from Avco Electronics and IBM died. Most of the senior executives of Avco were among the dead.

I used to double date with Linda. Her date was a pilot in Viet Nam and is still MIA.
