In the state I live in, cardiologists created the "Heart Hospital" which is now viewed as the premium place for cardiac treatment -- which is a profitable part of many hospital's operations. So, it is viewed as sucking the money out of other facilities into [already wealthy] cardiologists pockets. So, the problem is easy to see. At the same time, there is some evidence some these facilities actually do deliver better care. So, okay, we deprive these rich people of getting richer. But at the same time we cut the quality of care. What else is new?
