Let us keep our emotions aside for a moment and instead look at the politics of addressing it at this moment in time. By bringing this issue up, you fire up the Latino crowd to come out and vote. Will help in Nevada. Will cause a turmoil in Arizona with the Republican voters. They will be split and the Hispanics will be fired up to get out and vote. The same would be the situation in Florida with a Cuban-American, the presumed Republican nominee. California, it is the same story with Boxer being the beneficiary. Colorado, the same, The immigration, is the gay marriage issue that Rove came up with in 2004. I think bringing up the Immigration issue would benefit the Dems.
