Well I took some holiday, and some trading hiatus as well, since every other year I need some recreational break, particularly when I run out of ideas which was the case. This messy trading might be good for short term traders but then I´m getting old.

By coincidence, I got me a copy of Michael Lewis´ book when I was traveling, and literally the same day the squid got pinched. Now their name is in every newspaper and German provinces financial departments stop trading with them, per german news. It might the beginning of a process which can be best compared to the developments around Drexel Burnham some decades ago...

Stocks will be late in falling, rather see some end of recovery push. I am rather watching the ted and a2 spreads for some hints, plus sovereigns .

When it comes to stocks, the airliners might not be done yet. A second wave of ash is reportedly coming up. And then there is RIG whose news are not priced in, in my opinion. Should go lower.
In Germany there might be some free money in a paired Volkswagen trade. The popular VW preferred trades higher than ordinary voting shares, something which should never occur.
