Jack I don't mislead anyone. But you certainly are. You got yourself in trouble, and you just don't want to admit it. I didn't say Datek was blaimless in your case, I just state that you got yourself in trouble and then compounded it, and Datek didn't help. But the sad fact is you are resposnible for your trades, just as I am for mine.
I have never had a "bad" trade with Datek that they didn't fix. And I only have one that they fixed.
As for communicating with Datek, ya I do every day, when I fire up my browser. I get constantly good trades and free quotes that are as realtime as any you can by, they aren't as complete as some but they are free and useful.
To be truthful I am as tired of your crybaby act as you are of mine. I hate being in the position of crying about Ameritrade, but the comparison between Ameritrade and Datek is not even close.
As for your recent statement that some people were able to trade and some were not on Turnaround Tuesday. Anyone who was not a total neophyte to the internet and Datek were able to trade just fine. Slow confirmations and quotes were not Datek or any Brokers fault, the MM didn't have time to send them.
It boils down to Datek was the best online broker when it counted the most and they deserve credit for it. Go read the ESchwab thread, or the Etrade Thread, or the Ameritrade thread. Then come back here and read the Datek thread. Don't tell me about AB Whatley and Cyber-Trader they haven't been around long enough to have a clientel to fill one server let alone 11 like Datek has.
Every time someone shows some interest in Datek you think you have a holy mission to steer them elsewhere but Datek may well be the best place for them.
Once again it looks like you couldn't afford that extra loss so you cry and cry. if you were up a severa; hundred % in the last several months like some of us you probably wouldn't be crying any worse than I am about a couple thousand loss.
I don't want to do battle with you but I am, just like you are of me, tired of your BS.
