Hi, just my 2 cents about cisco. Yes, this earning report is very good with no sign of slowing down. But that's last three months' figures. What about going forward ? The whole networking industry is in a state of unprecedented product transition - from fast ethernet to gigabit ethernet, from routers to layer-3 switchings, from proprietary products to industry inter-operable products, and from a data only network to a multi-media network reaching every home and office. Cisco will have to compete in all these fields just as everybody else. 3com and BAY can erode cisco's market shares very rapidly going forward. Of course cisco is not sitting there doing nothing, so it's going to be a very interesting battle - tilted to the favor of Coms and to a smaller extent to bay. Mang
