Quinn Hillyer, whoever Quinn Hillyer is, certainly did a trashing job on Palin. One must ask what is Hillyer's motive.

I have always had a lot of respect for The American Spectator under Richard E. Tyrrell ; however, I would suggest to Tyrrell that he needs to find another Senior Editor.

Let's go back to the selection of Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska.

From this writer's viewpoint, Governor Palin was selected by Senator McCain because the 'handwriting was already on the wall for McCain'---he was going to lose.

To prevent that loss from being greater than it was he needed a woman who could build enthusiasm with the young mothers and the younger people and with a conservative bent. Palin prevented that loss being greater than it was-------her nomination generated enthusiasm bringing voters to the polls to vote for McCain and herself.

The mistake as I see it is that McCain's Campaign did not bring Governor Sarah Palin into campaigning early in the summer( as a possible nominee)------remember that the VP is elected at the National Convention.

Given the delay in waiting for the GOP Convention---

Was it a negative to quit the Governor's seat to run for VP--------hardly so, running for office is a fulltime job.

If she had continued to attempt to do both jobs simultaneously, she would have been equally criticized for attempting to do both as she is now for having resigned the Alaska Governorship.

Former Governor and Vice Presidential Candidate Palin has done a vital job for America in being the loyal opposition to Barrack Hussein Obama, the titular President and "telling it like it is".

She has brought awareness to the skullduggery of the left like no one else in the past 20 years.

When I consider the slim credentials that Obama brought to campaigning for POTUS (incidentally while he was ignoring the job of being a USA Senator), former Governor Sarah Palin and VP Candidate Sarah Palin stacks up very well.

Will Sarah Palin be the first woman President of the USA--------will she be the Vice President of the USA--------will she be a US Senator or member of the House? These are all possibiities as well as her continuing to be a force supporting candidates against the left.

Hillyer makes a point of her not having gone to CPAC as of yet-----yes I know the importance of CPAC for the leaders of the movement that started during Reagan's years.

There is no reason that Palin needs to go to CPAC at this time.

Sarah Palin is out in America with real people doing what she needs to do at this time -----rallying the people to throw the bums out in November 2010.

Seems to me that Hillyer doth protest too much.
